Andy is an experienced estate planning attorney with extensive background in estate planning and administration, probate litigation, and social security and disability advocacy. Andy’s practice is statewide and he routinely serves as local counsel for out-of-state firms in need of a South Carolina attorney.
He is a proficient litigator, having tried and argued cases before administrative bodies and the trial and appellate courts of the State involving breach of contract, business litigation, landlord tenant disputes, property tax appeals, homeowner’s association matters, collections matters, actions to quiet title and for partition of real property, among others.
Andy has been passionate about estate, trust, probate and property law since law school, and served as the judicial law clerk for the Dorchester County Probate Court and the Dorchester County Master-in-Equity prior to entering private practice. Andy’s commitment to legal scholarship continues into his professional career, teaching paralegal courses to local college students and providing lectures to civic groups.
Prior to attending law school, Andy worked as a paralegal in plaintiff’s mass and toxic tort litigation, an experience to which he attributes his inspiration and commitment to aid others through law.
Andy is proud to call Summerville, SC home; where he resides with his wife, Laura, and their two children, Emma Grace and Jack. When away from the office, Andy is a devoted fisherman and minor league baseball fan, resigning himself to an avid indoorsman in winter.
